For the next Month I will be offering weekly farm tours, Saturdays from 1-4 pm, this is a great chance for Floridians to see Aquaponics
Come visit our farm in Central Florida to see what aquaponics is all about.
$10 recommended donation per individual or $20 per group.
Donation can be applied to purchase (I just need to keep my time productive.)
Opportunities to pick fresh Aquaponic produce, buy live plants, buy fresh fish (please bring a cooler with ice if you want whole fresh fish on ice), or a container and travel aerator for fingerlings when available.
8748 Guava St,
Yalaha, FL 34797
The Locals have found us and like to eat fresh fish so I’ve had to pick one day a week that I will net fish from the tanks. (Any more often than once a week tends to stress the fish out too much.)
Please contact me if you have any questions or need directions. Many of the products I sell on my web site could be made available for local pick up (but contact me ahead of time to make sure the particular items you want are available.)
If the farm tours/you pick days go well, I’ll see if I can continue them long term though the couple weeks surrounding the Aquaponics Association Conference and Practical Aquaponics for Everyone Workshop are going to be hectic. I’d love to hear what you all think of this plan so please comment.
[…] Saturday Aquaponic Farm Tours […]
I hope to see you this Saturday then! I am just learning all about aquaponics and am very intrigued! I need to see a set up with my own eyes 🙂
Wonderful I look forward to meeting you in person.
Very much enjoyed the tour. It was refreshing to listen to someone with your passion for what you are doing. I would highly recommend the tour for anyone with an interest in aquaponics.
Thank you, Mike
Hi I would like to visit your farm and purchase some catfish fingerlings if you have any.
I also could purchase what ever vegetables you have.
Larry Feel free to call me. xxx-xxx-xxxx Don’t post your personal information in public comments.
Hi Larry, Sorry we are not currently doing farm tours really and I don’t have any catfish fingerlings. (Contact Florida Fish Farms for fingerlings.) However, you may purchase farm produce to pick up from the gate or we can even deliver if you are close. Here is the link to the Online Market https://yalaha.locallygrown.net/market
