Hi folks, some might notice that my blog is largely about aquaponics, fish, plants, gardening and many things that go along with those. Things sustainable often also catch my attention.
However, exuberant praise without any on topic comments about my blog articles won’t cause me to approve the comment for public view.
I’m far more likely to approve comments (questions etc) if they appear to come from some one who actually read the post and is commenting on the topic of the post.
Comments/questions about the web site design etc, I am willing to answer by e-mail but they are not really on topic so I have not been approving those comments either. This is simply word press with a freely available theme and I use my own pictures unless otherwise noted.
Sorry, not much more to chat about tonight after spending hours in meetings today on completely different business.
I get a lot of generic comments as well. They all seem to have unrelated commercial websites. Comment Spam
There is a plugin called Akismet that I use that filters out most of the comment spam for me.
Not sure if your using it, but give it a try? I like it.
Doesn’t Akismet require a subscription to a service for it to work?
It does, but it’s free. Or at least the subscription I have is free. I think it’s just a sign-in so they can tune to your comment traffic. It’s been a while now and I don’t remember.
