Know as Akamatsu in Japan it is used in Japanese gardens all over Japan. Very popular for Bonsai! This is one of the classic Bonsai subjects. The Japanese Red pine is now endangered in its native area so let’s start reseeding in a bonsai pot. To grow place seeds in a bonsai pot and sow 1/8 inch deep. Keep soil moist. Place in a partly sunny window. Grows about 12 inches in a Bonsai pot. In your yard grows about 20 feet. Enjoy your Bonsai Japanese Red Pine Trees.
