Red Torch Ginger
Super Gorgeous! The Red Torch Ginger is also known as The Wax Flower and is native to South East Asia. The flower has a beautiful full head and is considered to be one of the most brilliant flowers in the world with a dazzling mass display of bracts in a bright cone shape. The flower is about 25 cm across and is born on a 1.5 meter leafless stem that arises straight out of the ground. Very hardy to 40 degrees F. To grow sow seeds 1/4 inch deep in well drained soil in a container. Keep warm and moist in a sunny window. Germinates in 7-10 days. Grows about 1.5 meters. Loves full or part sun. Enjoy!
