Here is a great opportunity to volunteer to help with farming and local produce.
Head on over to yalaha.locallygrown.net and sign up for an account. Just go to the sign on link to create an account. Once we are in full swing we will likely need help on pickup days.
Knowing your farmers and buying as much local food as reasonable is a great step for saving the planet by saving your own neighborhood. Local food not only reduces your carbon footprint but also keeps more money in the local economy. Of course local food is fresher and if you know how your farmer grows the food you can have a better understanding of the possible chemical residues that might be on the food.
