I really can’t say a whole lot about Golden Gate Seeds since they never completed the order they sold to me and their web site seems to be unavailable now.
As to the Lufa. If you buy a sponge and request some extra seeds in the instructions on paypal when you complete your order, I’ll make sure a hand full of the loose seeds wind up in your package. I will warn though that the seeds are all from the 2011 growing season since we were moving summer of 2012 and didn’t manage to grow any lufa this past summer.
Lufa is a hot season crop so be sure to start the seeds in warm soil and provide plenty of moisture for the vine. It likes to climb and can grow huge so be sure you have a sturdy trellis and keep it away from trees and power lines if you don’t want it covering them.

TCLynx, do you know if these seeds are GMO or not? I have some of my own purchased from a year ago, I was going to attempt germinating them, but I can’t find the answer to my question anywhere on the internet.
I seriously doubt any are GMO (most GMO crops are industrial crops like corn, soy, canola, and sugar beet) but I really don’t know, the company seems to be gone now.
